About Us:

The LCM Generalate

The LCM Generalate is the headquarters of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary. Transferred from Rome in 1988, the LCM Generalate is home to the Superior General and the leadership team. It also houses the congregational archives, and the congregational archivist,  Sister Raphael LCM.

The members of the General Government, that is, the Superior General and General Councillors, are responsible for leading the Congregation in the spirit of the Gospel in the spirit of the founder, to promote unity and vitality and to encourage its growth.

Women of Service

Leadership throughout the congregation is based upon a ministry of service. It is the same for the members the Generalate team. Through interaction of the Generalate with the other units of the Congregation (Provinces and regions) mutual support and knowledge is fostered,  to strengthen the mission of the Congregation and its  bonds of unity.

In accordance with our constitutions, the ministry of service to the congregation also includes stewardship of the patrimony of the institute, preservation of the charism and care for the individual sisters.

Our task is to ensure that we are all  oriented to the life of Jesus Christ and the spirit of our founder, Venerable Mary Potter.

As the General Administration, we also strive for unity in the diversity of our cultures and nationalities and we encourage each and every Sister to play her part in our overall responsibility and contribute to our overall knowledge.

We also exercise the ministry of healing by upholding equality of rights among the provinces and regions,  encouraging Sisters everywhere to get to know each other and respect each other. We charge and empower the community as a whole to work out joint objectives in the diversity of their talents and to work towards their realization.
