What we do

Our Ministries

Our ministries are varied. Health care services, spiritual direction, administration, prison work, parish ministries, pastoral care, hospice work, aged care, teaching, and home visitations are part of the general work of the sisters. In Southern Africa the sisters work to provide support and care for those who suffer from Aids.

Our ministries are determined by the needs of the society and cultures in which we serve. They are also determined by the skills and abilities of the sisters themselves, for the congregation recognizes the gifts of its own, and seeks to listen to the voice of the Spirit in the discernment of new ministries.

What matters most, is that our lives are given "for the good of the world", and thus our actions simply reflect the way in which we seek to live "the mother love of the Good Shepherd", who laid down his life for his sheep.
